All - How to add the ''Employee'' or ''Substitute'' role to my profile?

Modified on Tue, 17 Jun at 8:49 AM

From your profile, you can register as an Employee, as a Substitute, or with a combination of both roles under a single Scolago account. Choosing the correct role(s) will allow you to use the platform effectively.

Employee
Substitute
Declare an absence and request a replacement if needed.
Access the Portfolio, Expense Reimbursement, Development, and Time Bank modules if applicable.
Receive and accept replacement offers.

Access the Bulletin Board module if applicable.

If you need to activate or deactivate one of these roles, you can do so yourself.

Please note that if you add a role to your profile, it is important to inform your administrator so they can make the necessary adjustments to your profile. To learn how to notify them, please read this article: All - How to notify my administrator that I have made changes to my profile?.

To add the Employee or Substitute role, follow these steps:

1. Click on your name in the top right corner, then select My Profile. You will automatically be directed to the General tab.

2. Locate the two role switches under your photo.

3. Activate the desired switch:

3.1 If you need to activate the switch I am a Substitute (I want to be contacted for substitute work), a second switch will appear: I am available. When enabled, the system will consider you available at all times unless you have events in your Home module calendar that block some of your availability.

3.2 If you need to activate the switch Employee (I must to declare absences and/or access the Portfolio module), no further action is required.

4. Save your changes.

Important: When updating your role in your profile, ensure that the institutions in your list match your new role:

  • For Substitutes: Add the institutions where you wish to work as a substitute.
  • For Employees (teachers, support staff, etc.): Add the institutions where you are employed.
  • If you have both roles: Add your institutions both as an employee and as a substitute.
